THE ALEXA FAMILY (2017)

The Alexa Family was the first film I created. I made it when I was 7 years old, in 2017.It was a video exploring what our virtual assistants do when we leave the house. I used 450 frames of stop motion to animate the Alexas.  It was fun making them talk because they didn't always repeat exactly what we said. I used different accents for each Alexa.

THROUGH YOUR EYES (2018)

Through Your Eyes was conceived as a way to remember the first weeks of life of baby Asher.  The goal of the film was to show that each of us, even babies, have everyday heroes in our lives.  After storyboarding possible scenes, it was filmed over a period of two weeks during Asher’s first month of life.  The first-person POV and black and white processing combined with a very limited depth of field represent exactly how young babies see the world. The film’s background music was carefully composed to overlay with the edited scenes and give each of Asher’s family members a unique voice.

WINTER IN HUNTLEY MEADOWS (2019)

Winter in Huntley Meadows was my first documentary.  I filmed dozens of species over two trips to this wildlife and nature conservation area in Fairfax County, VA.  I experimented with time lapse photography and combining multiple audio sources.  The film was shot on a Panasonic camcorder.
